FROM FIRST LOVE TO PASSION
Everything began over 16 years ago with one small Yorkshire Terrier who entered our lives at a very special moment. When we had been waiting a long time to welcome a child, the dog became a great support for us, a source of warmth and joy. A year later, fate continued this story – our first child was born, and soon after, the second. Along with them, another female dog joined our family, and dogs became a permanent part of our home and everyday life.
It was then that we realized that love for Yorkies is something more than a fleeting fascination – it is a passion that will accompany us throughout our entire lives.
FIRST STEPS IN BREEDING
Although dogs had been with us for many years, we began breeding seriously around 13 years ago. This period was a time of intensive learning, gaining experience and building solid foundations for responsible breeding. We drew on the knowledge of experienced breeders, cooperated with veterinarians and, step by step, learned how to run a breeding program based on respect, health and the well-being of dogs.
From the very beginning, we knew that good breeding means responsibility – not only the joy of having litters, but also conscious breeding decisions and long-term thinking about the future of the breed.
OUR HOME FULL OF LITTLE PAWS
Over the years, our home has filled with canine life, shaped by the needs of our dogs and everyday moments full of small, special joys. Each litter brings new emotions – the first open eyes, first steps and first bonds with people. Our dogs have always grown up close to us, in a home environment, surrounded by care, calm and attention.
For us, breeding has never been a “job” – it has become a way of life, where dogs are full-fledged members of the family.
JOY AND RESPONSIBILITY
As our breeding developed, we became increasingly aware of how great a responsibility rests on the breeder. Every puppy is a new life that requires an individual approach, care and understanding. We learned to recognize the dogs’ characters, needs and temperaments, taking care not only of their physical health but also of their emotional development and proper socialization.
We were among the first breeders in our region to introduce DNA testing confirming breed origin. For us, this is an important element of transparency and responsibility toward future owners.
FIRST SUCCESSES AND EXPERIENCE
Our passion quickly began to bring results also in the show ring. Dogs from the Lucky Pets kennel achieve high placements at both national and international dog shows. Our most recent show ended with a 1st place finish and the title of Puppy Champion, which was a great honor for us and confirmation that we are following the right path.
In our kennel, we have Yorkshire Terriers in various coat colors: Black and Tan, Biewer, Golddust, Chocolate, as well as classic black-and-gold with a white chest. Each of them represents high breeding quality and is the result of conscious, well-thought-out decisions.
TODAY AND TOMORROW OF LUCKY PETS
Today, Lucky Pets is a kennel with many years of experience, working directly with the District Veterinary Inspectorate and holding a registration number that allows the legal export of puppies to Europe and beyond. Our dogs already live in countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, England, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal, Italy, the USA and Canada.
Looking to the future, we know one thing – we want to continue developing our kennel with the same passion, humility and love for dogs. Our greatest dream is that every puppy from Lucky Pets finds a home where it will be loved just as much as with us – from its very first breath through many years of shared life.
